If you are a DJ and you're reading this, you're probably already aware that I am seeking Guest DJ sets on a weekly basis for the Mongoland radio show. To make things easier for both me and you, this article will detail the requirements for your submissions.
The submission system set forth below requires that I grant you access to my shared dropbox folder. In order to grant you access to the shared folder, you will need to email at
as further set forth in Step 1 below. Once I have your email address I will add you to the shared folder. I will make sure the dropbox folder is clear before I share it to you, but if you find someone else's submission in the folder, please do not download it or delete it. Dropbox enables me to see who does what to the files stored there, so if I find you have deleted someone else's submission I will eliminate your sharing privileges on the folder, effectively banning you from ever appearing on the show. So play fair.
Step 1: Send me an email at
with "DJ Set Submission" as the subject line. Make sure you send this email from the same account that is associated with your dropbox account. If you do not have a dropbox account yet, use the link below (yes, everytime someone joins dropbox using this link, I get another 500MB of storage space. That's good for me and for you.)
Step 2: You will receive an email invitation granting you access to the shared DJ Submissions folder in my dropbox. On your local machine, create a folder bearing your name, and into that folder deposit the following items:
(A) A recording (in wav or flac format) of your live set of length between 60 minutes and 80 minutes.
(B) A playlist for your set in a three column tabular format setting forth each artist, album or other source, and track name in the order it appears in your set in a pdf format.
(C) A separate pdf document setting forth the following information: Your full contact info, including name(s), telephone number, address, and email address, and an indication as to which of these is your preferred method of contact. This document should also include a link to your Electronic Press Kit (EPK). If you do not have an EPK, you should also include a pdf of your regular press kit.
Step 3: Deposit the folder bearing your name and the above-described contents into the shared dropbox folder.
If I select your set for airplay I will contact you, using your preferred method of contact, for the purpose of scheduling an interview. It would therefore be helpful, but not necessary, to include dates and times of availability in your dropbox submission. Regardless, I can get that information from you once I contact you regarding the interview.
Thanks for your interest, and I look forward to reviewing your submission!
